José Miguel López García is currently a Partner in Andersen’s Public and Regulatory Law department at the Madrid office.
José Miguel has 20 years’ experience in public procurement and infrastructure, the management of European funds and public grants, administrative and contentious-administrative proceedings, legislative processes, administrative reorganisations, environmental law, healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He also specialises in port regulations, the rail sector, and legislation governing the transport of passengers and goods by road.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in e-government, interoperability, digitalisation and the use of electronic media in the public sector, an area in which he has advised public administrations at all levels, including the drafting of general provisions and technical legal regulations, the processing of electronic procedures and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by the public sector.
He is the author of various publications in legal journals and the media and has spoken at various organisations such as the IE-PwC Public Sector Innovation Centre, the Institute of Public Administration of the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, amongst others.
In the academic sphere, he is a lecturer in public procurement at the Pontifical University of Comillas (ICADE) and a lecturer in administrative litigation at IE Business School.
José Miguel has been recognised by the prestigious Chambers & Partners directory in the Environment category.
Previously, he was Head of the Regulatory Group at PwC Tax & Legal Services.
