Carlos de la Torre is currently a partner in the Employment Law department at the Madrid office.
A Labour and Social Security Inspector on leave of absence, he has more than 25 years' experience in the field of employment law, having practised for the last decade as a solicitor specialising in advising national and international companies on all kinds of employment issues, both in the advisory and litigation phases.
He specialises in labour restructuring processes — including collective redundancies and redundancy plans —, collective bargaining, Social Security, workplace accidents and labour issues related to M&A operations and corporate restructuring. He also regularly advises on proceedings before the Labour Inspectorate, individual and collective disputes and the design of remuneration and incentive schemes.
Throughout his career he has developed his practice in national and international firms where he has held positions of institutional responsibility, such as director of Human Resources at the ICO, counsellor for Public Works at the Spanish Embassy in London and representative of Spain at the International Maritime Organisation. He has also been a member of the group of experts for the UNE 19604 standard on Labour Compliance.
