Juan Carpizo is a Partner in Andersen’s Tax practice at the Madrid office and heads the Iberian Local and Environmental Tax practice.

He has over 25 years’ experience advising major national and international companies, including IBEX 35 groups. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a leading figure in strategic tax advice and highly complex litigation before local and regional authorities.

He is particularly noted for his in-depth technical knowledge of the energy and property sectors, where he has led projects related to sustainability, decarbonisation and the circular economy.

He is also a tax inspector on secondment.

Before joining Andersen, he built his professional career at EY.
