Benjamín Prieto is a Partner in Andersen’s Valencia. He is Co-director of the Valencia office and he heads the Litigation, Bankruptcy and Arbitration department. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Andersen Tax & Legal Iberia S.L.P.

He previously worked in Deiuris, where he spent most of his career as a Partner and in Olleros Abogados until the integration of the firm in Andersen in 2017. 

With a Degree in Law and Criminology, Benjamín specializes n criminal matters and has experience in socioeconomic crime and criminal liability of legal persons (Criminal Compliance). Concerning civil matters, he specializes in Intellectual and Industrial Property as arbitrator in the Arbitration Court of the BAR Association of Valencia.

Benjamín has extensive experience in Corporate Law, having participated in complex banking products acting as a civil and corporate mediator. Benjamín is also a specialist in civil and criminal procedural law, and has been involved in all types of civil and criminal lawsuits, and urging many bankruptcy proceedings. He also has extensive experience in the public sector, in which he has represented numerous municipal corporations and local authorities in different criminal proceedings.

In academia, Benjamín teaches Criminal Law at the Universidad Europea de Valencia, and he also coordinates the Criminal Module Master of Law. He is the Director of the Postgraduate Course, expertise in Compliance at UEV and professor of Criminal Procedure of the Bar Association of Valencia. Moreover, he is lecturer in the master’s degree of International Law at ISDE and he teaches at FIDE.

Benjamín is co-author of the Practical Manual on Compliance, in the chapter “Regulatory Compliance in the Spanish Pharmaceutical Sector”, published by Fundación de Estudios Bursátiles y Financieros and Thomson Reuters. Moreover, he is the author of numerous articles and publications, as well as speaker at seminars and conferences.
