Álvaro Mendiola is currently a Counsel in the Commercial Law practice at Andersen’s Madrid office.

He has over 12 years of professional experience and specialises in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Throughout his career —recognised by Chambers Europe 2026, which highlights him as ‘Up and Coming’ in Corporate/M&A: Mid Market— he has advised on the negotiation and drafting of share purchase agreements (SPAs) and shareholders’ agreements (SHAs) in industrial transactions. He has also been involved in corporate restructuring operations and in the drafting and negotiation of family agreements.

He began his career as an insolvency lawyer at Hipoges and subsequently spent a decade practising at Confianz, where he focused on corporate advisory work and mergers and acquisitions. In 2025, he joined Andersen.
