Andersen Iberia is integrating PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados, a Portuguese firm founded in 2001, with a strong presence in Lisbon and Porto, over 160 professionals, 19 of whom are partners, and a turnover exceeding €15 million. With this integration, Andersen Iberia now has 714 professionals, 129 of whom are Partners, and a projected combined turnover of over €110 million in 2026.
In Portugal alone, Andersen’s combined turnover following the integration now stands at €23 million, consolidating Andersen Portugal as one of the leading firms in the Portuguese market, with 223 professionals, 32 of whom are Partners.
PRA’s Partners will join Andersen’s partnership, which will be adapted to accommodate the new circumstances; and the professionals will be integrated into the various business areas, according to their specialisation.
The transaction also reflects a strategy of sector-specific specialisation. Over more than two decades, PRA has developed teams specialising in key sectors of the Portuguese economy — corporate, energy, infrastructure, real estate, the financial sector, technology and advising private companies on their dealings with public authorities — with in-depth knowledge of the regulatory dynamics and key players in each industry.
José Vicente Morote, Managing Partner of Andersen Iberia, stated that “this transaction strengthens our operational capacity in Spain and Portugal and consolidates our position as a leading legal services platform in the Iberian market”. The Managing Partner of Andersen Iberia added that “this is a milestone for the sector across the Iberian Peninsula and marks a genuine turning point in our growth strategy”, explaining that “this integration stems from a shared conviction: that the future of legal advice of excellence lies with robust, fully integrated firms with complete alignment of values, standards and processes”.
Pedro Raposo and Miguel Miranda, currently Chairman and Managing Partner of PRA respectively, are joining the Board of Directors of Andersen Iberia, the former as Vice-Chairman.
Commenting on the merger, Pedro Raposo stated that “it is a natural step for our team because we share the same way of working: absolute commitment to the client, always based on excellence and professionalism”, adding that “joining forces allows us to combine our capabilities, strengthen our specialisation and offer clients even more robust and strategic support in Portugal and Iberia”.
Founded in 2001, PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados has a structure fully focused on the client and a team of professionals and technical resources specialising in comprehensive legal advice, with clients including companies, individuals, public bodies and professional associations. The firm has offices in Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Leiria, Évora, Viseu, Ponta Delgada (Azores) and Funchal (Madeira), and is recognised by the international directories Chambers (8 practice areas and 19 individual nominations in Chambers Europe/Global 2026) and Legal500 2025 (3 individual nominations, 10 practice areas in the tiers and 38 lawyers listed).
