José Ignacio Gelpí is currently a partner in Andersen's Labor and Employment practice in the Barcelona office.

He has more than 27 years of professional experience as a lawyer specialized in Labor Law. He has extensive experience in the areas of labor advice, collective bargaining and restructuring; special labor relations; procedures for termination and/or suspension of contracts; dismissals; modification of working conditions; productive decentralization, and in the legal and labor impact of mergers and acquisitions.

During his career, he has been part of law firms such as Garrigues or Prime Legal Abogados, and has been co-founding partner of the firms Gelpi & Morales Abogados Laboralistas and Arpe Legal Abogados.

In the academic field, he is an associate professor at the University of Barcelona in the department of Commercial Law and Labor and Social Security Law.
