Javier de Artíñano is currently Of Counsel in the Madrid office and co-head of Andersen's Tax practice.

Javier began his professional career in 1981 at Arthur Andersen, where, after two years in auditing, he joined the tax department and specialized in family businesses, consolidation of corporate groups and international taxation.

He is a member of the Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas de España and the Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas. In 1989 he joined Banco Inversión as a member of the Board of Directors, assuming responsibility for tax advice to clients, and for the design and organization of Mergers and Acquisitions. In the financial field, he has been a member of different CII management companies.

In 1991 he promoted the consultancy firm S.C.D, a company dedicated to business advice, being responsible for the legal-tax area until 1999. That same year, he joined DAYA Abogados, heading the tax practice. Throughout this period he has been combining his professional activity with his membership in several boards of directors as a member or as a director exclusively, such as in Rodilla Sáchez, S.L., Bancoval, Equipamientos Urbanos de México, S.A.C.V., Montoro e Hijos, S.A., among others.
