Germán Martínez is currently a Partner in the Employment practice in the Madrid office.  

With a degree in Law, specialising in EU Law, from the CEU San Pablo University in Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy from IE Business School, Germán has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of law, mainly at Baker McKenzie and Laffer Abogados.

During his professional career, he has advised national and foreign companies on a wide range of labour law matters, including, among others, employee and executive recruitment, remuneration systems and plans, pension commitments, individual and collective dismissals, collective bargaining and regulatory compliance, and has been involved in all types of pre-judicial and judicial proceedings and matters.

Germán is also the author of numerous articles and legal commentaries in the specialised press, as well as a speaker at seminars and conferences and a contributor to books and legal manuals.

He also has teaching experience at various universities such as the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, ICADE and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Germán is also a member of the Spanish Forum of Labour Lawyers (FORELAB).
