Antonio Matute is a Partner in Andersen's Tax Department in the Bilbao office.

He has more than 33 years of experience. He began his professional career in 1991 at Arthur Andersen. Since the merger in 1997 and until 2023, he developed his career at Garrigues, consolidating his position as an expert in corporate taxation.

He is highly specialised in international taxation, advising both Spanish companies with investments abroad and multinationals with transactions in Spain. His experience also covers domestic taxation in areas such as corporate acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, restructurings, indirect taxation and structures for the monetisation of tax credits.

Antonio has advised on a recurring basis multinational companies and groups, mainly in the energy, automotive and food sectors, working both in the foral and common territory.

Throughout his career, he has participated as a speaker in numerous courses and seminars organised by institutions linked to the business world. He has also published articles in specialised journals and has carried out teaching tasks, including directing master's degree dissertations at the University of Deusto.
