Sharon Izaguirre is a Partner in the Commercial/M&A department and Director of the Bilbao office.

She has more than 25 years of experience advising large national and international business groups on complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and corporate strategy. She is also a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, a qualification that enables her to practise Anglo-Saxon law and adds value to transactions involving elements of common law and cross-border transactions.

In the academic field, she is a lecturer on the LLM in International Business Law postgraduate course and the Skills for International Lawyers degree at the University of Deusto, as well as on the Master’s Degree in International Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid. Her experience is complemented by her participation as secretary on various boards of directors, providing a comprehensive perspective on the corporate environment.

She has developed her career in prestigious firms such as Landwell (PwC) and DLA Piper. In 2011, she joined Deloitte, where she served as Partner in charge of the national Corporate M&A practice between 2015 and 2022, positioning it among the most active in the market according to Mergermarket, Thomson Reuters and TTR Data, and leading teams in strategic projects for national and international companies.
