Sharon Izaguirre is a Partner in the Corporate / M&A practice and Head of the Bilbao office, as well as Head of Corporate M&A for the Northern Region.

She has over 25 years’ experience advising large national and international business groups on complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and corporate strategy.

She has built her career at prestigious firms such as Araoz & Rueda, PwC and DLA Piper. In 2011, she joined Deloitte, where she served as Partner in charge of the national Corporate M&A practice between 2015 and 2022, positioning it among the most active in the market according to Mergermarket, Thomson Reuters and TTR Data, and leading teams on strategic projects for national and international companies.

She is also a Solicitor of England & Wales, which enables her to practise English law and provide added value in transactions involving elements of common law and in cross-border deals.

In the academic sphere, she is a lecturer on the LL.M. in International Business Law postgraduate programme and the Skills for International Lawyers undergraduate programme at the University of Deusto, as well as on the Master’s in International Law at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Her experience is complemented by her role as secretary on various Boards of Directors, providing a comprehensive perspective on the corporate environment.
