Medium-sized global law firms are landing in Spain, a key market for many of their clients, who seek advice in each of the jurisdictions in which they operate.

With some twenty offices in the United States, Andersen soon became clear that it had to conquer other territories. Spain was one of the first countries chosen in its internationalisation plan and in 2017 it closed the integration of its Olleros structure in March. It was not, however, the first approximation to our country of the American giant with more than 2,000 professionals, since its first steps were taken two years earlier with the integration of Global Abogados, strongly implanted in Barcelona. However, Andersen needed a much larger presence to fulfil its ambitious plan for Spain, so it decided to go one step further with Olleros, which has offices in Madrid and Valencia and the year before the integration, 2016, had experienced a growth of 20% both in turnover and staff, reaching 11.6 million euros in revenue and about 160 professionals. Once again this year, the operation showed that it had been a complete success, as growth shot up to 18.4 million euros, 32.4% more. Jaime Olleros, managing partner of Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain, already recognized when the integration was confirmed the good forecasts: "With the entry into Andersen, we have gained visibility, projection and capacity to serve clients, who demand professionals in all jurisdictions in which they operate.
