The Chambers Latin America 2021 guide recognises the Andersen Cuban desk director Ignacio Aparicio, in the Corporate/Commercial area: International firms in Cuba individual ranking

The Chambers & Partners legal directory has highlighted Andersen as a recommended international firm in the Corporate/Commercial area of the ranking of Cuba included in the Chambers Latin America 2021 guide, which also recognizes Ignacio Aparicio, partner of the firm and director of the Cuban desk, in the individual ranking.

Specifically, Andersen is placed in band 2 of Corporate/Commercial: International firms in Cuba of the Chambers & Partners ranking, which highlights that the Spanish firm of Andersen Global has a long history advising international companies in their investments and business in Cuba. "The team has extensive experience representing major companies in the tobacco, beverage and construction industries in negotiations with Cuban state entities and regularly advises on project bids and on the creation of joint ventures with Cuban state companies".

Chambers Latin America 2021 also highlights Ignacio Aparicio, partner in charge of the commercial area and director of the Cuban desk at Andersen, who is ranked in band 3 in the individual ranking. In its editorial commentary, the guide highlights one of Aparicio's main values as being his "ability to anticipate clients' concerns and needs, as well as to negotiate with the counterpart, which can often be a challenge".

This recognition of Andersen's Cuban desk, which has over 25 years' experience advising national and international clients on their operations on the island, joins those previously awarded by the same board, which has recognised Jaime Olleros as foreign expert on Cuba in the Chambers Global guide since 2012 and which, this year, has included Andersen as a finalist for International Firm of the Year in Cuba, the winner of which will be announced on 30th October at the Chambers Latin America Awards 2020 gala.
