The guide highlights Andersen in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Corporate and M&A and in General Business Law as an International Firm in Cuba

The legal directory Chambers & Partners has highlighted Andersen as a recommended firm in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Corporate / M&A and General Business Law as an International Firm in Cuba in the new edition of the Chambers Global 2023 guide.

The guide has highlighted Ignacio Aparicio, Andersen partner and co-head of the Corporate and M&A practice area, as a Foreign Expert in Cuba, as well as in the individual ranking of General Business Law: International Firms, an area in which he is positioned in band 3. Specifically, the clients interviewed by the Directory highlight that he is "a very good lawyer, who offers unquestionable support and exceptional knowledge of the Cuban legal and judicial system", and define him as "incredibly intelligent and with a good knowledge of commercial and international law".

The guide also ranks Miguel Prado, Partner in the Banking and Finance practice area, in Band 4 in the Financial Regulation Services category, and highlights his "ability to always go the extra mile".

In the Dispute Resolution area, Andersen's Co-Head of Spain and head of International Arbitration, Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, stands out again as an individual, who the directory places in Band 2 and is defined by clients as "a very good team manager" who "always solves problems and provides practical solutions".

In this area, the ranking also highlights again Luis Cortezo, Partner of the Litigation and Arbitration area, who is positioned in band 6 and about whom clients highlight his "seriousness and reliability" as well as his "ability to analyse problems". Likewise, in Dispute Resolution, Elena Sevila, Co-Director Partner of the International Arbitration area, repeats in the ranking. This year she moves up from the Up & Coming category to band 6, being valued by her clients as "a very hard-working lawyer with a gift for understanding her client's perspective".

Finally, Federico Belausteguigoitia de la Cruz, who joined the firm in 2022, has been highlighted in Energy & Natural Resources in band 4, an area in which he specialises and in which he has a long and recognised professional career.

Chambers & Partners, which prepares its annual ranking of firms and lawyers based on the transactions carried out during the previous year and the assessments and analysis of the sector carried out by clients and professionals from different firms, includes in Chambers Global 2023 a selection of the areas with the largest international component of those included in the more than 200 jurisdictions researched by the directory each year, and whose complete result in Europe will be known in the coming weeks.
