The 2021 edition of Chambers & Partners recognises the firm in Dispute Resolution, Corporate/M&A, Employment and Tax and highlights for the first time Carlos Peña in Planning, Javier Bustillo in Venture Capital and Elena Sevila in Dispute Resolution

The legal directory Chambers & Partners has today published the Chambers Europe 2021 ranking, which highlights the most recognised firms and lawyers in Europe in different practice areas.

In this edition, in which more than 12,000 submissions have been made at European level, and 886 in Spain, the directory has highlighted Andersen in the practice areas of Dispute Resolution, Corporate/M&A, Employment and Tax. These results are the result of research carried out by the publisher based on the information provided and the assessments of clients and other law firms.

The ranking also recognises individual practitioners in the different practice areas. Specifically, Chambers Europe 2021, for the first time, includes partners Carlos Peña in the Planning practice area, describing him as "one of the key figures in Andersen's growing practice", and Javier Bustillo in the Private Equity: Venture Capital practice area, emphasising his "detail-oriented and forward-looking approach to managing private equity matters on behalf of funds". Chambers also adds Elena Sevila to the Dispute Resolution ranking and notes her "ability to represent clients from different sectors in international arbitrations".

Also in the Dispute Resolution area, the directory highlights Managing Partner, Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, whose "prestige and ability to advise on cross-border commercial arbitration and litigation" and, within the Corporate Crime practice area, includes Álvaro Martín, Senior Associate of the practice. It also recognises Andersen Senior Partner Javier Mata in the Insolvency practice for "his knowledge of the sector and ability to assess the issues".

In the Environmental practice, the publisher recognises partner Arancha Bengoechea for her "experience in advising public and private entities on waste and emissions management" and in Employment includes partners Alfredo Aspra for his "accessibility and knowledge of the client's business" and Sergio Juárez for his "experience in negotiating labour matters and his technical skills and practical approach".

Chambers & Partners publishes annual global and European rankings based on the transactions carried out by firms and lawyers during the previous year, as well as on valuations and analyses of the sector which, in this case, have been carried out during 2020.
