This pioneering and far-reaching initiative in Spain, which places us in line with our surrounding countries, which have foundations of this type, including the different actors in the legal profession and the main law firms.

During the first board meeting, held after its constitution on the 28th of June, the objectives of the Foundation were established. Among which the following stand out: to facilitate access to professional advisory services and specialized legal assistance to entities or groups of persons who, for economic or other reasons, have difficulties in accessing said services;  to provide all the actors involved, such as lawyers, universities and the third sector, with the necessary tools to create synergies and multiply the scope of their work; and to offer all legal professionals an effective means of participation with the common purpose of promoting justice and the real equality of all citizens before the Law.

This project was born out of the desire of all the founders to join forces in favor of access to justice for the most needy groups. In view of the need to complete the excellent work carried out by the bar associations, the Foundation began its work under the slogan "Adding to the legal pro bono", with a clear vocation for growth and integration to systematize and coordinate the different pro bono actions in our country, create synergies and multiply their effectiveness with the aim of meeting the growing demand for legal pro bono in Spain.
