| News
Andersen will open an office in Malaga to strengthen its presence in southern Spain, thus responding to the needs of its clients who are looking for a reference in this very important area of Andalusia, which combines a large presence of the real estate business with a huge projection of the technology sector.
The Firm achieves a new milestone in the strategy of strong expansion initiated two years ago, extending the coverage to Malaga for the development of business both in Andalusia and throughout Spain, where it already has five offices by having presence in the main cities of the country, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona and Seville, as well as an office in Lisbon.
The new Malaga office will open its doors in the first weeks of 2023 in the area of Calle Larios and under the direction of José Miguel Soriano, Partner of Andersen in the area of Litigation and who until now has been developing his work in the Madrid office. The new location will count with the incorporation of Fernando Taboada, specialist in public law and urban planning and until now managing partner of the Malaga office of Cremades & Calvo Sotelo.
José Vicente Morote and Iñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, Managing Partners of Andersen in Iberia, have highlighted that "the opening of this new office is a reflection of Andersen's clear commitment to Spain" and have explained that Malaga was one of the cities where a firm like Andersen, tremendously dynamic and committed to the technology sector, could not fail to be present.
At this point, they have highlighted the great synergies that will allow us to develop the Technology Hub of Malaga, thanks to the capabilities that our team has, which offers a comprehensive service in new technologies, including a wide range of services to accompany clients in cybersecurity, blockchain or Web3, among others.
Morote and Rodríguez-Sastre have stressed that "Andersen only plans to have a presence in the most strategic cities in the country to develop offices at the highest level and provide full service in all areas in each of them". In this way, they continued, "the objective is to integrate the best talent and team in our Malaga office to make it one of the main legal services firms in the Andalusian market, to which we are 100% committed".
Finally, they have highlighted that this new expansion is part of the good results that the Firm is reaping at national level, which has managed to triple turnover in five years, since it started 2017 with a budget of 13 million euros and expects to close 2022 with a turnover of more than 40 million, while it has grown from 160 professionals to the more than 350 it currently has.
Likewise, they have insisted on Andersen's commitment to Spain, which places the firm in our country as one of the main pillars of the firm and allows it to advance in expansion in line with international development, where the firm already has a presence in 360 offices in more than 165 countries on five continents and more than 13,000 professionals.
