| News | Corporate Law and M&A / Energy
Andersen has hired Carmen Mozún as Partner for the Energy area, where she will advise on corporate transactions related to this sector.
With a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and a specialization in M&A from New York University, Carmen Mozún has more than 20 years of experience working at KPMG Abogados and Baker & McKenzie, both in the Madrid and New York offices, and has specialized in M&A, project finance and asset finance, mainly in the energy and infrastructure sector.
José Vicente Morote and Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, Managing Partners of Andersen in Iberia, have highlighted that this new incorporation means "an important reinforcement in the Corporate and M&A department, in which Carmen Mozún will provide services in the transactional and project finance part of the energy area, consolidating the work already being developed in this practice by the rest of the partners specialized in this area".
Morote and Rodríguez-Sastre have emphasized the importance of sector specialization and, in this sense, they have underlined that "the energy sector is strategic for the Firm, in which we have a very high experience and transversal specialization, from the transactional, financial, tax, regulatory and environmental areas, among others".
"Andersen continues to advance in our Strategic Plan, which aims to increase capabilities and specialization in all practices," said the Managing Partners, who have specified that this new addition will work closely with the entire Corporate and M&A department led by Ignacio Aparicio and Ivo Portabales, which is one of the main pillars of the Firm, with more than 60 professionals and 18 partners who combine specialties in M&A, Corporate, Competition, Privacy, Intellectual and Industrial Property and Finance to offer a comprehensive service within the practice".
