Andersen has incorporated Javier Moya as Partner of the Litigation and Arbitration practice in the Madrid office, thus reinforcing the capabilities in this area and, specifically, in the field of commercial litigation and national and international arbitration.
Javier Moya has more than 17 years of professional experience, in which he has worked as a State Lawyer before the National Court, in various public bodies such as the CNMC, CNMV, Bank of Spain, ICAC or the FROB. He has also been deputy secretary of the board of directors of Acuamed and director of legal services and deputy secretary of the board of Adif. In the private sector, he has worked at the American law firm Jones Day, specialising in civil litigation and arbitration.
Moya has extensive experience in advisory and procedural matters, advising on complex civil and commercial legal proceedings before ordinary courts and arbitration tribunals, specifically in public infrastructure projects, telecommunications, the securities market, insurance contracts and corporate disputes.
José Vicente Morote and
Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, Managing Partners of Andersen in Iberia, have highlighted that the incorporation of Javier Moya "represents a new boost for the Litigation and Arbitration department and reinforces our strategy of super-specialisation, thus providing great added value within the area, given that Javier Moya is a top professional with extensive experience".
"The incorporation of Javier Moya is the starting point in 2023 of the expansion strategy that we started in Andersen two years ago and that has allowed us to close 2022 increasing capacities in all areas and offices with nearly 20 new partners", said Morote and Rodríguez-Sastre, who have highlighted "the change or expansion in the offices of all the cities in which we are present in Spain to take on our growth plan, which is progressing well above the objectives thanks to the work, involvement and development of each of the professionals who make up the Firm".
