Joaquín Alegre is currently Director of Andersen's Commercial practice in the Madrid office.
Previously, he has worked at Cuatrecasas and PwC.
Joaquín has extensive experience as a financial lawyer, both on the side of regulated entities and users of financial services or capital markets. He specializes in banking and financial regulation, with extensive knowledge of advising national and international entities in their transactions, in their activity in the financial markets, as well as regulated entities in the financial sector and investment funds in the field of their legal status and conduct. He also has extensive experience in the structuring of direct lending operations, especially related to the real estate market or the purchase and sale of businesses.
Among others, Joaquín has had the opportunity to participate and lead multiple projects related to regulated sectors, such as the incorporation of ESIs, investment vehicle managers and their funds, entities regulated by the Bank of Spain (payments and electronic money), insurers and mediators.
In addition, he is currently the registered representative of Andersen in the MARF and leads the practice in this Market, being the channel of communication between issuers, underwriters and other players with the Market, as well as responsible for the structuring of promissory notes and bonds programs.
