Andersen welcomes Arancha Bengoechea as a partner in the Public and Regulatory Law area in Madrid

Bengoechea joins forces with José Miguel López García, formerly of PwC, and will strengthen the firm's environmental area

Andersen has integrated Arancha Bengoechea as a partner in the Public and Regulatory Law area, which is headed by José Vicente Morote and has more than 25 professionals in Spain. José Miguel López García also joins the firm together with Arancha.

The new team, which comes from PwC, has a professional background of more than 20 years and specialises in Public Law and Environmental Law. Specifically, Arancha Bengoechea was responsible for the Public Area of PwC Tax & Legal Services, with in-depth knowledge of all branches of this area and significant expertise in Environmental Law. She has been recognized by Chambers & Partners, by Legal 500 and by Best Lawyers in the areas of Environmental law and Public Law.

José Miguel López García was a Director in the Regulatory Group at PwC Tax & Legal Services and has extensive experience in public procurement and infrastructure, particularly in port regulations, the railway sector, road passenger and freight transport legislation and environmental law. He also specialises in digitalisation and the use of ICT in the public sector. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Public Law area.

Jaime Olleros, Managing Partner of Andersen in Spain, has highlighted that the incorporation of the new team to the Public Law area "also means a fresh impetus in the Environmental area of the firm, which is composed of a group of professionals that deal with this service in an integrated way, including capacities in the public and regulatory field, excise duties or energy, among others". According to Olleros, it is "another step in the specialization of the team, which seeks to know the business, the sectors and the challenges that our clients may have, with a deep knowledge of the practice and a global vision".
