The international guide The Legal 500 has highlighted Andersen Tax & Legal as a recommended firm in the areas of Corporate, Dispute Resolution and Public Law in the new edition of its 2018 ranking as in previous years and includes the firm in the Banking & Finance, Employment and Real Estate areas for the first time in its guide, which analyses the capabilities of law firms worldwide.

Specifically, Andersen Tax & Legal has been recognized as one of the best Spanish firms in Corporate/M& A by The Legal 500, which points out in its publication that the firm “assisted RMA of New Jersey on matters pertaining to its joint venture with Equipo IVI to create the largest assisted reproduction group; the deal was valued at €900m” and notes that partners Gonzalo Cerón and Carlos Salinas head the team.

The guide underlines that the firm in Spain, “which recently merged with Olleros Abogados, is active in high-profile multi-jurisdictional arbitrations” and stresses that “the well-respected Iñigo Rodríguez-Sastre leads the sizeable team”.

The Legal 500 also recognizes the firm in the Public Law area in Spain (tier 4) and the editorial includes comments such as “under the leadership of José Vicente Morote, Andersen Tax & Legal gains recognition for its public law advice”.

Andersen Tax & Legal in Spain also is ranked in tier 4 in the Employment area of The Legal 500 ranking which stresses that the firm “has strengthened its employment offering through several new hires, including Alfredo Aspra, from CMS Albiñana y Suárez de Lezo”.

The Spanish Real Estate department is highlighted for the first time in the 2018 ranking of The Legal 500 and José Vicente Morote is noted as “the key name at Andersen Tax & Legal for real estate matters”.

Finally, The Legal 500 includes Andersen Tax & Legal in the Banking & Finance ranking in Spain and underlines that Guillermo Yuste has been hired as responsible for the practice area and Corporate head Gonzalo Cerón and Carlos Salinas are active members of the team.

The Legal 500 rankings are based on feedback from 250,000 in-house peers and the law firms deals and confidential matters, which are independently assessed by their researchers.
