Andersen incorporates Borja de Gabriel as a partner to strengthen the Tax area

De Gabriel joins the Tax department as a Partner with two lawyers, which totals more than 20 professionals in the Valencia office, and Ricardo Pla in the Valencia Corporate Law area

Andersen has incorporated Borja de Gabriel as a partner in the Valencia office's Tax department, he and two tax lawyers join a team of more than 20 professionals in the Valencia office's Tax department. Together with De Gabriel, Ricardo Pla joins as a director in the Corporate Law department led by Ignacio Aparicio.

With a degree in Law from the University of Valencia and a Masters in Corporate Tax Advice from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Borja de Gabriel has a 20-year career in tax law with experience in business taxation and wealth restructuring operations, both nationally and internationally. De Gabriel has worked at MA Abogados, Deloitte and DWF-RCD, in the latter as a managing partner of the Valencia office and its Tax practice.

The new partner of Andersen is specialised in tax planning of investment and restructuring operations, recurrent tax advice to multinational groups and family offices. In the innovation field, he has extensive experience in providing tax advice to all types of entrepreneurial and disruptive initiatives, including those arising from corporate incubation and acceleration programmes.

Ricardo Pla has a degree in Law from the University of Valencia and a Master’s degree in Legal-Financial Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. During his professional experience of more than 15 years, developed in Garrigues, Broseta, PwC and DWF-RCD, he has specialised in corporate and contract law, business reorganisation operations, M&A and debt restructuring and refinancing processes. In his regular practice, he advises companies of different sectors and sizes, including startups, family offices, venture capital funds and private equity.

José Vicente Morote and Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, co-managing partners of Andersen in Spain, highlighted that the incorporation of the new team "is in line with the firm's expansion strategy for this year, as it allows us to continue expanding our capacities in the area of tax planning, as well as in advising on restructuring and M&A operations and the management of large assets, giving a new boost to the service specialising in innovation, digital business and finance".
