Andersen climbs the rankings of Chambers Global 2022

The international guide highlights the areas of Dispute Resolution and Corporate / M&A and includes for the first time in the ranking Ignacio Aparicio in Corporate/M&A, who also repeats as Foreign Expert in Cuba, Miguel Prado in Financial Regulation and Luis Cortezo in Dispute Resolution, an area in which Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre and Elena Sevila are again recognised

The legal directory Chambers & Partners has highlighted Andersen as a recommended firm in the areas of 'Dispute Resolution' and 'Corporate / M&A' in the new edition of the Chambers Global 2022 guide, which also recognises the firm in General Business Law as an International Firm in Cuba.

In the Corporate / M&A area, the directory highlights for the first time the Partner at Andersen and co-head of the Corporate and M&A practice, Ignacio Aparicio, which is ranked in Band 4 in Spain and is also listed as a Foreign Expert in Cuba as well as in the individual ranking of General Business Law: International Firms, an area in which he is ranked in Band 3. Specifically, the clients interviewed by the Directory emphasise that he is "a brilliant lawyer who adjusts easily to different, quickly changing scenarios and has the ability to propose adapted, agile and imaginative solutions."

The guide also includes for the first time in the ranking Miguel Prado, Partner in the Banking and Finance area, who is placed in band 4 in the Financial Regulation Services category and notes that he is able to understand us as clients."

In the area of Dispute Resolution, the Co-managing Partner of Andersen in Spain and head of International Arbitration practice, Íñigo Rodríguez-Sastre, once again stands out as an individual and is placed in band 2. His clients underline that they have “a lot of confidence in him, he follows paths that other lawyers don't see."

In this field, Luis Cortezo, Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration area, enters the ranking for the first time. He is ranked in Band 6 and his clients point out that he is “a fierce litigator, fighting the client's corner with great panache". Elena Sevila, Partner at Andersen in the Litigation and Arbitration area, repeats in the ranking in the Up & Coming category for her notable experience in leading involving different jurisdictions, mainly in Latin America.

Chambers & Partners publishes its annual ranking of firms and lawyers based on the matters carried out during the previous year and the feedback and analysis of the sector give by clients and professionals from different firms. The Chambers Global 2022 edition includes a selection of the areas with international dimension of those included in the more than 200 jurisdictions researched by the directory each year, and whose result in Europe will be known in the coming weeks.
